Hey everyone - I have a Curve 8330, and LOVE the phone. My only complaint is that the camera seems to take very poor quality pictures. Prior to my Curve, I had the Voyager. I didn't like the Voyager for a number of reasons (i.e. the keyboard was too big for my hands, and the touch screen was sensitive, would unlock itself and would call people while in my pocket!)... not a good deal if you're talking about the person at that time! Anyway - was wondering if anyone else had a similar experience with the Curve's camera photo quality, or if there's something I'm doing wrong that's affecting the pic quality! Thanks in advance for the help.

What do you have the picture quality set to? Open the camera > menu > options

If found and most people would agree that the BB camera works BEST in natural sunlight amazing shots, mind posting a pic so we can see if its the hardware?

Can yo post a pic? The BlackBerry is 2 megapixels so it is not an HTC at 8megapixels but it can producce quite good results even so.

These are all pics I have taken with my Curve 8300.

Flickr: rrrebo's stuff tagged with crackberry

Most are at 640 x 480, SuperFine, to make it easier to upload. Make sure you set the White Balance for the environment you are in. Automatic is NOT always the best choice.

Ok, well now seeing your photos, and hearing the circumstances that produce the best photos - I'm guessing the problem is mine! (Yikes, that's hard to admit - don't slam me please :-) ). The pics that seem the worst are in a barn or arena, and I guess the lighting must not be as bright as it seems! The pics I've taken outside are great - the ones in the barn (of my horse, etc.) are not so good. Apparently it's a lighting issue. I don't remember having the same problem with the Voyager, but it's certainly possible. Thanks everyone!!!

Well mine are pretty good but they don't compare to a digital camera.

For a phone the curve takes pretty good pictures, but you can't compare a 8 or 10 megapixel camera vs a 2 megapixel camera phone.
