When the trackpad died on my 9300 in september I was looking to get a Q10. It was too expensive so I got a 9720 as an interim phone. I'm now thinking I will stick with it for BIS and because it works better with my PlayBooks. Think I will switch to BB10 when Legacy devices are no longer available or when a BB10 tablet comes out.

On a 9850. Playing waiting game. Not a social media person. Having multiple email accounts, texting and calendar really are simple and efficient for me and I am not pulling your battery - just mine.

    9930 > Q10.

The Q10 is better in every way, except for editing text - still miss my track pad. I will give the Q20 a spin when it arrives...

    Curve 9300 to a Z10 over a year ago.

I miss 3 things from my Curve.
    1. PlayBook pairing of emails. This was great for work email.
    2. keyboard - only a bit because the Z10 virtual keyboard is amazing but I still occasionally miss tactile keys.
    3. I could throw that phone and it wouldn't break. Not something I want to try with my Z.

However, I much prefer the BB10 UI and speed. After a year my Curve was quite slow unless I wiped it. My Z10 is even snappier now then when I first got it. I'm also very impressed with how fluid this UI is and how much I still enjoy it, over a year later.

I realized how sad it was that I had to install hybrids all the time to keep the phone smooth, automatically restart my phone every night at 1AM, not have even some of the most BASIC of apps and had to ration how many apps (and they were very few) I could install on my phone at any given time due to application memory limitations when I upgraded to a Z10. then I realized what it was like to own a phone with good hardware build quality when I upgraded to the Z30. at long last, after blinding loyalty and dumb faith I finally see what it feels like to own a "premiere" smartphone, almost 7 years after Apple released the iPhone.

that said, BB10 is great and I am sticking with it unless something catastrophic happens to the OS. BBOS should have died in 2011 with a final release of the Curve/Torch/Bold lines, and in the beginning of 2012 they should have put the PBOS 2.1 onto a phone and gambled on it. Z30 in 2013. Google Play store integration in 2014, or at least official support of the Amazon App Store. Fortunes might be quite different today.

Why? Because my 9860 was so abused in its two year life span that it had become seriously laggy, the keyboard was unresponsive/extremely inaccurate, was never included when new apps for OS 7 were launched and I was really interested in trying out the new BB 10. Plus I was bored.

I switched to the White Z10.

I do prefer it to my old Legacy phones. A year in now and its still great, though some lag has creeped in I noticed recently. That said the feature set has improved dramatically with updates it has received over the year. The keyboard is vastly superior. The Hub is still great though the OS 7 drop down menu was text messaging short of being as good(IMO). Battery life is a weak spot for me as its not consistent. But I do love my browser and the screen. Especially now that I run it at 100% screen its vibrant and clear.

I do not ever bash the Legacy stuff. It was great IMO, I loved my Bold 9000 the most of any of my phones even ahead of my Z10 but there came a time I just had to move on. I'm glad that I did.

    - got my first BlackBerry - Z10
    - love it
    - working outside, the Z was getting dropped on rocks, football kicked trying to stop a fall, rain, snow, you name it.
    - it's still in one piece but I knew it was only a matter of time.
    - Walmart, by a timed return mistake, got saddled with some Rogers Bold 9780.
    - $150 sticker price. Hmmmmm..... work phone.
Inquiring about the phone, i found they were desiring to unload them as they were 4 years old, but new in box.
How much if I buy all 4?
    -reply- $60 each.
    Sold.
    - I love the 9780, even though it has some hardware shortcomings.
    - I'm even newer to Legacy, but now I get why these phones were so popular. Its a communication tool for sure. It does everything I need it to do for my work. I'm quite happy using both devices.
And am now very excited to hear of the Q=20. Chen isn't going backwards like some think when the tool belt was announced. Now that phone is going upward in functionality and flexibility. I'm dying to use the gestures and trackpad. I'm curious as to what side of fence I will use more.
Side note : I also want to upgrade to a Z30 from the Z10, or its successor and keep my 2 cellular lives.
    Go BlackBerry! I'm in!
I haven't been this pleased with a brand since my long long love affair with Sony finally ended with a number of disappointing products I bought. (the Sony Phone was the last straw).
I liked the IPhone, hated the mess called Android ( I like the Gs3, the first AnRdroid I thought about buying, but ultimately didn't like the sheer size). Owned a PlayBook and felt it was genius ( cleverly designed OS, and yes it had shortcomings, but I adored how it worked) . Heard about OS 10 coming out and waited.
I'm proud to be BlackBerry by choice, and I like every BlackBerry device I have and I plan to buy more.

Started with a 7120 and had a new BlackBerry issued from work every year through the 9930. We switched to Z10's when they came out and then some to Q10's. My work doesn't support the Z30.

Personally speaking, I've always had a separate BlackBerry and currently use a Z30 with a Q10 in waiting if something goes wrong with the Z30.

    So I've got a work BB10 and personal BB10.

Went from a Curve 8900 to an Xperia Ray because of the camera and sharper display. I switched back to a Bold 9700 but gave that to my mother to replace her cellphone. Now I'm "upgrading" to either a Bold 9780 or Bold 9790 as I cannot afford a Q10.

I switched from my curve 9300 to a Z10. The reason I did this is because my curve was becoming outdated compared to what was out there. The battery was starting to wear down and it was too slow for my liking. The Z10 has been fantastic. Very happy with my decision.
