How do I create an icon on my homescreen so I can go directly to a web page without having to go through applications>browser>bookmarks etc.?

Create a launcher. There are many ways to create a launcher (apps to do it, code it yourself, send it to someone to create for you). A search for launcher should bring up what you need.
