Thanks for spotting this!
Nice find. I passed this on. :)
...and in the New York Times no less. David Pogue must be
downright apoplectic right now. :)
Nice find!! Like I always tell my friends... Crackberry is THE site when it comes to having a Blackberry.
Very nice!
Awesome! Go CrackBerry! :)

Woohooo nice! Way to be recognized CB!
The author is a member that was pleased with the way our members came to her aid. Well done guys, you have made us all proud.
The obvious lesson to learn from this story: that newbie who's asking the easy question may be somebody who's in a position of influence that the rest of us will never attain. We don't know who we may be helping. As much as is in our power, we ought to try to send everybody away happy. We don't know where we may see them again.

Tell me about it. I hope he is. :D
Agreed.
110% agreed. You just never know. It's nice to see our members stepping up and helping a true newbie out. But we shouldn't be suprised, thats what makes CB what it is.
Bravo CB and the nation of prowlers. Its called "paying forward" This concept is not only what makes CB wonderful, but if practiced by everybody, would make the world a better place. The thing is, words have no gender, race, religious denomination or political affiliation. If someone needs help, weigh in if you can. If you need help, ask.
Doesn't matter who asks, that's the beauty of anonymity. Could be Obama trying to figure out how to d/l 4.5.0.110 for his curve or John McCain trying to figure out how to wipe the used BB's he is selling out of the trunk of his car.
How does it go? "Do unto others"
Peace-Out
Happy Holidays CB Nation!!!

Good stuff CB!
Great find as well. TiPb.com was mentioned as well.
I dunno why they didn't mention DUVI.... :p
Hope you and yours had a Merry Christmas bro. Thanks for the BBM. :)
Rofl... Hehe, I was baffled myself... I hope the little ones got what they wanted.
That makes me feel good as well, great job people...
I am just happy that I was able to find it at all (randomly looking at nytimes.com and go :-O, Crackberry.com).
I concur it doesn't to send a newbie a little kindness while assisting them.
great article, but it just illustrates what's great about blackberry.... crackberry.com and all the great people who are so helpful.
I haven't use my help file... not when I can come here.
Thanks everyone for being so wonderful
lcg...
Let me say something on behalf of the lowly help file. It has at least three significant advantages over the CB forums.
1) It's always available. It's as close as your device, and never goes down, even if you lose connectivity.
2) It's never wrong. As good as CB is, you can get some misinformed, misguided, and just plain wrong answers here. And not just from newbies, either. The Help File can't cover all situations, of course, but if you find the answer there, you know it's right.
3) It will never flame you, no matter how many times you ask it the same question. Folks who've just been torched for asking a simple question will appreciate that.
Using the Help file has its place, just like the Search function. When you're stuck, use all the resources available to you.
thanks for pointing that out, i read it as well and didn't think to mention it here but kudos for doing so. i just think that it's a great indication of how user friendly and newbie friendly this site is....go crackberry!
Represent :) This site is great for BB users...glad it's getting some big time recognition!
