    I'm pretty sure that Microsoft's current in-car infotainment offering is based on QNX anyway, so it would be a natural fit.

    Personally I think it's unlikely. Microsoft has invested a lot of money over the last few years to bring out a unified kernel with Windows 8/Windows Phone 8, etc.

    I can't see them throwing all those years of effort away and adopting QNX.

    Even if MS were interested in just QNX, they aren't going to spend $5Billion to buy a whole company when they only want a $200Million segment of it....

    Of course I think BlackBerry's MDM and Server Networks would be interesting to MS as features to be added to Microsoft Exchange.
