    Well our Curve 8310's have reached the end of there duty cycle and its time for an upgrade. They were a decent little phone. It looks like the pickings for new Blackberry's at AT&T are slim.They have;

    Curve 8900
    Bold 9700
    Bold 9000

    We are keeping the full QWERTY so the Pearl isn't an option. I think i am goign to push for the Bold 9700. Any roccomendations?? Any other Blackberry's coming in the near future to ATT. Are the Bolds going to be capable of running OS 6.0?

    The 9700 should run 6.0, but I don't think anyone knows for sure. The 9000 is similar, except the memory is half the size of the 9700, making it a poor candidate for 6.0.

    I have both the 9000 and the 9700. 9000 is on a BES and the 9700 is BIS. I love the 9000 but the OS for it sucks which means u will get alot of dropped calls and mem issues. I do like the size of it cause my hands are bigger. But overall the 9700 is a better device. And they will both be 6.0 capable when the time comes

    If you want to go to 6.0 your best shot is the 9700, that device is almost a lock, for the 6.0 upgrade, the 8900 & 9000, while great BBs and a good upgrade from what you have are probably not going to get 6.0. However all 3 are great choices.

    No doubt, upgrade to 9700. Newer, faster, prettier, better .

    We are awaiting the paperwork for our phones and what they can offer now.Bold 9700 seems like it will be the way to go. Too bad there arent any touch screens for ATT. We run a BES so Iphones and Droids as cool as they are need not apply. I just dont think they are as rugged as the Blackberry. The upgraded browser on the OS 6.0 would be great. So far that is my biggest shortcoming of the curve, well that and its EDGE and not 3G. IF were paing 3G data prices we need to have some 3G speeds.

    If you can wait a few months, there is a touch screen slider BB coming, but it has not even been announced yet and no carriers have been revealed. ATT WILL probably get it thou, June/July timeframe.

    They allow iPhones to hook up to the Exchange server, but not the BES. An iPhone on BES is not possible...

    I went from an 8310 to a 9700 and love it. The only real issue I had that you might run into is the change in the style of keyboard. I liked the Curve style keyboards as the buttons were spaced apart and it was easier to type w/o looking. I'm still getting use to the Bold style with the flat buttons all bunched up.

    Just get a Linux box and Z-Push. I did on my home computer for Gmail and it works ten times better than the Exchange Google uses for Gmail. Just a suggestion. I just use Ubuntu. PM me if you want some more details.
