I am not sure if previous BlackBerry leaders like heins understand that these copies are a lot more dangerous than Samsung or iPhones.
I hope john chen understand so he can do something about it.

These are the exact dimensions of a qwerty phone that blackberry needs to develop.

I would buy that phone in a heartbeat if it was legit.

Pretty sad that some knockoff company has the right idea but blackberry is going to release something as ******** as the windermere.

Hmm.. I think a few of our CrackBerry "in-house designers" need to get compensated for their work... lol.

Anyway, I'm surprised at how prominent the BBM logo is displayed around these knockoffs. Here in the US putting a BBM logo next to a device would doom it to negative sales...

    Anti-Typo

So are they saying that the phone will prevent typos or are they sucking up to BlackBerry by rallying against the company/device called Typo? Hmmmm.......

I wouldn't support a manufacturer like that trying to make money copying someone else's ideas. All the big manufacturers should get together and do something about it.

There really isn't anything they can do about it. China will and does clone anything and everything they take the notion to clone, from RC cars all the way up to full size cars. They even clone pigs over there.

If it could be stopped, I'm sure it would have been by now.

I don't think it's so dangerous, I'm sure this phone is of horrendous quality. Hopefully people buy it for its cheap price, get hooked on the keyboard, then when it breaks in a month decide to go get the real deal.

At least we have a pretty good idea if BlackBerry does produce a rectangular screen with keyboard phone it won't look bad at all.
I have a Q10 and a Z10 and it is a shame that my Q10 is just sitting on my desk because of small screen.

I think BlackBerry should go for a larger screen on the next qwerty keyboard device.

But did you get the make and model? In the pic I could see a box right in behind it, but wasn't able to see the maker name.

A noname copier, when he was at school, he was copying from his class mates, in sports he was taking shortcuts to run long distances, in games he was cheating and in industry, stealing from other manufacturers... for sure!
I suppose it is a noname brand...

Old post but I saw one of these "MPIE" "MP108" on my local craigslist (Houston TX, USA) today and it cracked me up. Advertised as a "Blackberry style phone", the sticker in the battery compartment reads "M faction royal" and "Model: MP108" - very much a knockoff of the Q10, just that it's Android, and dual-SIM. Not terribly proud of it as they're selling it for just $10.

Lots of pictures of them on google if you simply search MP108

As has been said in this thread, any other concerns aside, I'd be worried about spyware/malware pre-loaded on a knockoff like this. That's not exactly an uncommon thing with devices from sketchy sources.
