I missed a birthday yesterday that I should not have. My bad. My question is....can you have your birthdays in contacts be placed on your calendar? I never thought of this until I missed one. Thanks for your help and I hope I put this in the correct spot. I use 7.1.588.

Yes. Enter your contact's birthday or anniversary in the respective contact details fields, and they'll be added to your calendar as an all day event. As far as reminders go, I believe the 'appointment' adds one as per your calendar default (in my case, I'm seeing 15 minutes.)

Kind of a silly question really, what's stopping you to set a new calendar entry named "my friend's birthday", set it as an all day event and set recurring to yearly? Easy peasy.

How long ago? Is it showing in your calendar?

Check out this thread that go into more detail... this was an old bug that started with .163 or .267. It was fixed long ago, so you have to go delete the birthday from each contact and save. Then re-enter birthday. Painful yes... but that is how I fixed it.

I swear I had (have?) this same bug on my OS6 9780 too! I had a friend's birthday entered, but it never showed up in my calendar. At that time I chalked it up to some weird error with Google syncing.

I was hoping my easy peasy solution would've worked lol, even though I did have this bug in the back of my mind.
