I've been here awhile and have not heard anyone ever mention doing it, I'm sure there would be a way though...

It depends which Blackberry you have. I have a Z10 and can connect it seamlessly using a Couch Connect cable which I found on Couch Connect

I do this all the time with a mini-display cable from my Z10 to my TV (HDMI input). Plug-and-play easy and works well, although the physical plugging-in part is a minor hassle (you need to buy a cable).

If you want a wireless connection, I think almost all bb10 devices support Miracast, although I hear that most TVs don't.

This is one of the few entertainment features where my Z10 beats the iPhone 5s in my house (we don't have Apple TV).

Only one feature. Z30 here beats iphone 5s in all areas, especially in entertainment. As for component controls, you now have them via Android apps. We also have DNLA if you have a DNLA capable tv.

Use an HDMI cable to connect it to your screen. No need for expensive gadgets like an "iProduct."

If you have a Z30 (also a Q10 I believe) and your TV has Miracast, then you can connect it that way too. If the TV does not support Miracast, then you need an adapter.

Yeah, I guess it's old fashioned to use an HDMI cable instead of radio waves, but conveniently I'm usually in the same room as my TV when I'm watching it, so it works fine.

Excuse me, I have to go now and churn some butter.

Using my BlackBerry 10 (Z10). As I download films from BlackBerry World. I use a micro HDMI cable and plug it into my TV. Switch the TV to HDMI and watch my Films. Also BlackBerry 10 phones van be use to make presentations via HDMI on larger screen. Films play awesome in HD.
