    Hi All,

I used to have a blackberry through my old work and now i've left i miss it dearly. I want one back and am looking at the bold or the storm.

One thing that is confusing the **** out of me is re tariffs ? What is the difference between getting a normal unlimited email and webbrowsing tariff through someone or getting the actual blackberry tariff ?

Look forward to this being explained as i just dont get it and it appears quite a few others don't inlcuuding the phone companys themselves.

    Cheers all
    Gav

A normal tariff will not work on a blackberry as Blackberry services, email, BBM, BB browser etc, use the blackberry.net gateway for internet access and a normal tariff uses wap or mobileweb.

Hope that makes things a little clearer

Wap use is usually included in a Blackberry tariff too.

You can use a generic tariff but you would need a tihird party browser as the blackberry features (bbm etc) would not work.

...also look at this page on oranges website ... to me that is totally contradicting itself. Whats the fifference between the two options stated there ? apart from price...

Yes you can use Opera on a BB tariff.

Some networks offer email only plans which is only a small amount of mb per month. On orange you want the Talk with Blackberry plan I think. This gives unlimited email and 250mb data use per month.
