My wife just bouht an 8830 and she has color icons. I have one that I bought in October and it has these ghost like icons. Can I convert to color like hers?

Icons can depend on different themes. Some themes have color icons and some have just simple no colored ones.

she has a standard bb theme and all of her icons are colored. even when she changes themes.

With the Zen, Today, Icon themes that come on the phone all have colored icons. So that's not nothing new, did you change your theme to a different theme that you might have downloaded or what not?

Alot of us do that, we find a theme that looks great, and use our wallpapers.

There is an awesome wallpaper thread in the media section, grab some coffee and sift thru them, a ton for you and your wife.
