Does anyone have any more information regarding the dismissal?
They had little to no chance of winning, due to the Alice laws which determine if a software patent was unpatentable under US Patent Law. Easier to just dismiss.

tl;dr: Some of the patents got invalidated or were flimsy enough to believe they would lose, so they pulled out.
In the front page of the dismissal it only sites 4 patents. BlackBerry alleged that Twitter violated way more than that. It may be a partial dismissal of the patents impacted by Alice.
Probably, that would be why Law360 says they were 'trimmed'. I'm out of good emails for trials. :laughing:
