I'm thinking of switching from Orange to O2, because of problems with my internet - namely the browser not connecting to websites. I was wondering, if I switch sims and use the same BBID, will my contacts have to delete and re add me on BBM/will I loose my contacts? I have a few hundred contacts so I don't particularly want to loose them, but the browser problem is getting beyond a joke now, and my signal quality has depleted since my phone started showing EE.

Nope!

You must call the carrier and associate that older ID to the new number, or else you won�t be able to connect to the older contacts.

Ah, thanks! I suppose I could just wipe the phone aswell, but that would be the easy way out. Annoying Orange call centres, here I come!

Back up everything with Desktop Manager. You can then restore apps, contracts, and BBM data afterwards.
