I have ordered the tool-kit and a new face plate for my Pearl. I have also Youtube'd how to do it myself. It looks easy but OH SO SCAREY!!! Pulling my beloved Berry apart like that just gives me chills! I'm over reacting I'm sure.. How many of you have done this yourself? Is it as easy as it looks or do I need to be worried the way I am?

It is very easy. Just recheck everything before putting it back together. Also when
putting the screws back DO NOT over-torque them or the heads will snap off.

I've done the with a Pearl and two Curves. Take your time and you'll be OK.

Whew! Thanks graceless~ everything just arrived in the mail.. I'm gonna wait until tomorrow to dive into this but I feel a little better now. Where did you get your parts? I got mine from fonelogix.us very cheap,but durable and I had everything 48 hrs after I ordered it

Super easy man. I've done it with my curve, pearl, and even once with a bold.

It's super super easy, takes less than 5 minutes, and like said above, do not over torque the screws.

Pearl is the easiest to do it on.
