    I think this depends on your company's restrictions when on the VPN. They could have it blocked if I'm not mistaken to not let it be used. We used to have a similar VPN setup where we couldn't access the net while on the VPN until enough people complained and they loosened the restrictions.

    A lot vpns tunnel all traffic through the vpn so even if u r phone and your computer are on the same subnet the computer is techinally on different subent where your phone can't access it.
