Hello guys, as I updated my WhatsApp to the newer version it had these hub problems and it was crashing so I though if I delete it and reinstall it, that might solve the problem but I deleted it the WhatsApp icon is gone now but I can't reinstall it as it doesn't say 'install' in BBW it says 'open' I also tried deleting it from the BBW and it says failed to Uninstall WhatsApp, any solution for this pleasee?

Have you tried a hard reboot via the volume rockers?

Hold both volume up and down at the same time until the blackberry symbol shows up on the screen (it will take several seconds) It will show taking a screen shot, but keep holding both buttons.

Seems the only other option is to wait on the dev to realize that the update messed up our devices and pushes a fix asap. There are several bad reviews in aw in regards to this issue.

You can go to file manager and delete it from there!

Go to Device Monitor > storage > whatsapp (if it's visible).
Click on it, and select delete.
I delete my apps through this method and successfully had a reinstall of whatsapp.

I face the same issue with you this morning and I delete apps from there and reinstalled whatsapp.
No more duplicate whatsapp in Hub and duplicate messages.

    Hi,

I've got exactly the same problem. Try refreshing the installed apps at BW and still the WA icon showed installed. Trying to delete it will give the 'failed to uninstall whatsapp' message to pop-up.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks a bunch

Dude.. I normally delete apps via device monitor.
    Try that if u haven't.

And after delete via device monitor, reboot device, refresh appworld and see if it works.
If it works, u should be able to reinstall whatsapp from appworld.

    Best of luck.
