I just got a Curve 8530 and I'm having intermittent success opening attachments, specifically Word documents and PDF's. Any suggestions out there?

pdf's can be opened with 3rd party viewers or with the BB browser. word docs i think can only be viewed with docs to go or some other application.

You should be able to "view" Word documents and PDFs as attachments to email messages without a separate application. The messaging application converts the files to images for viewing only.

To the OP, what type of problems are you experiencing when you attempt to open the files from the message? How big are the attachments.

Note that if you are trying to OPEN the files from the SD card, you will need a third party application as noted above.

i had a large pdf document (40+ pages) and the browser was extremely lagging while trying to render it. i also started to miss pages and sometimes not even completely load it. and this was a downloaded to phone pdf. i kinda gave up on it.
