Since I got my new windows 8.1, I have not been able to to install blackberry link. This is what I get...
Can't install blackberry link on my windows 8.1? Help-img_00001807.jpg

And upon installing it, my pc just shuts down, with information saying, collecting data_driver_bluh bluh. I even forgot what it said. This sh*t is pissing me off. If blackberry can do something about it they should asap and come with an update.

You're getting a blue screen, right? That's some hardware/software issue (possibly outdated drivers) that are being triggered by the Visual C++ install. It's not Link itself, but something wrong with your PC.

Good luck there, finding out what it is WILL be a pain in the ***...

I would manually delete the previous drivers and reboot and then install the drivers again

8.1 is a ****. I've had so many stupid problems with it. Good luck getting link working. I gave up and started using a different computer that runs win7. Works like a charm now

Windows 8.1 and 8.0 is a complete disaster in itself. I not only have difficulty with link, but practically every other pc of software. Windows is really struggling with programs that are not up to 8.0, let alone 8.1. MS has really gone downhill.

I remember hearing stuff like this about 8 years ago.
