With my old Pearl i was able to set one of the side convenience keys to turn on my bluetooth, this was really quick and useful.It seems with my new and fantastic, 9700 (which incidentally, reminds me of my Pearl but with all the great attributes of the Bold 9000) I can only use the side buttons to open wireless connections which in turn needs a scroll and another couple of pushes. not hard labour obv...but slightly tedious.
With the current OS, the closest you will get is to set the manage connections as your convenience key and scroll down a couple to activate/deactivate.
