    Interesting.

"The plan also calls for about three-quarters of the more than 110,000 public workers with two different phones to lose one of their devices."

    - Does this mean if you have a government issued cell and a land line you lose the land line? (likely good for Blackberry)

    - Or does it mean is you have 2 different cell phones you'll lose one of them (not uncommon for people to have both iPhone and Blackberry, though usually it's iPhone for personal so this could still be ok for Blackberry)

"Shared Services Canada is aiming to reduce security risks by creating a single best-in-class security centre to manage network operations across the government, and considered forcing suppliers and service providers to only use trusted equipment and companies."

This whole paragraph GOT to be good for Blackberry after the Pentagon announcement.

Overall I think this bodes well. If so, I really like the momentum. Especially as a shareholder!

Friends at Canada Revenue Agency say it will be BB10 phones in their department. Devices will not be permitted to be taken off-site.

    CRA has 45,000 employees.

Guess CRA workers dare not step outside their office building walls for fear of the general.public...and those bb10 phone might get damaged in the ensuing carnage.

It's time Canadians start supporting Canadian business. I would like to see the Canadian government become a good model of BES10 and BB10 deployment and to show off its strengths and abilities.

It makes sense to limit their data access to specific sotes, why do they need to access the data servers on the go? They only need to view my credit history (CRA) from the office if need be, maybe they are finally cracking down on the data breaches

While it's still an important segment for BlackBerry, we have to consider that hardware is not anymore the main focus. Main focus is - in short - to sell added value (read $$) services based on mixed brands and devices. Rationalization and efficiency are keys here.
Shared Services Canada is aiming to reduce security risks by creating a single “best-in-class” security centre to manage network operations across the government, and considered forcing suppliers and service providers to “only use trusted equipment” and companies. Those that aren’t trustworthy are on the government’s “naughty list.”
I read:BES10. And when I read BES10, I'm more than happy. Let's take the CALs and let people choose their device. I'm confident balance and BB10 reliability/integration will seduce many users once the loyalist will get used to it and naturally demo&praise it.

So, for now, this is good news, if we have a P.R with a clear explanation it's even great.
BlackBerry isn't anymore for BlackBerry devices users only.
It's for the whole (MSFT support on its way) mobile world.

That's 45000 too many employees. Terminate CRA and force Government to become fiscally responsible.

CRA employees are NOT your friends even when they claim to be your friend in your personal life. Anything you say can and will be reported to their bosses and used against you unless you are the one percent.
