Canadian businesses can now process credit card transactions directly on their smartphones and send eReceipts anywhere thanks to Payfirma�s new app for Blackberry.

On August 30, 2011, Payfirma, a Vancouver-based provider of payment acceptance products and financial technology solutions, released the first-ever Blackberry mobile payment application in Canada.

With this new (and free) app, any Payfirma merchant account holder can accept major credit cards; authorize and process transactions in real-time directly on their mobile devices; and deliver eReceipts right into their customers� inboxes. The app is also fully PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliant, which allows for data encryption. Further, it does not store clients� card information.
