    Hi All,

I've done a lot of research online to see how much 1GB data is a month but unfortunatelly it's hard to find an exact answer.

Can you please advise from your experience if you think that lets say checking facebook 3 times a day, about 15 emails a day, some browsing, how much data will I use it?

I only have 1GB and its my first month with my BB so I cannot check my usage online (yet) and affraid my use has been spent already.

    Thank you for the help,

    AP.

If you know any free app for the Torch that says how much data you used that would be deeply appreciated.

I only had about half a cycle last month because I bought my Torch on Oct. 15. But, I was checking my data usage online and I had about 2000MB(which is how ATT lists their higher data package..in MB), I think it was... Anyway, after 3 weeks, I had only used about 500MB of that. And, I was doing a lot on my phone...Facebooking all the time...going on the web....watching a lot of youtube vids...

You can check out this website https://forums.crackberry.com/e?link...token=eyGcRBUp it will give you an estimate based on daily usage what your total for the month would be.

I don't do much email, texting or surfing on the phone itself but I do tether every day mostly chat rooms, IM, surfing, crackberry, etc. I do not stream video etc. Most months I use just under 1gb if that helps.

Thank you all, I guess the best way to find out is see how the first 2-3 months goes to have a good idea how much i've been using it.

I tried the verizon calculator but I cannot imagine that is correct, also, you cannot included FB usage or msn, I am not sure how much data surfing on FB uses...

we have the same concern..i do a lot of emails and yahoo messenger and few BB messenger..but since i have just got my phone a couple of weeks ago..i'm concerned of running out..

but i think my carrier said that in my plan it is 'unlimited email and messaging and 1gb of internet browsing'..maybe the same for you as well..but i still have to confirm it..(i just read it on my carriers website)

    won't hurt to check..

My storm uses under 250Mb/mo most of the time. My wife uses less than 50, so I just changed her plan to a $15/mo data plan which has an allowance of 150Mb/mo. Until a few days ago, I was unaware we could opt out of the $30/mo plan. I also dropped TEC, to save another $16/mo. Last year my bill was $220/mo, due to also having a MiFi. I dropped that, dropping the bill to around $157. Now it will be around 120-something. I get tired of spending so much on phones...

The blackberry is so good at compressing information and even with medium to heavy usage on some days, I barely make it pass the 150mb mark. It really depends on what you use the data for. If its for a lot of video streaming, then 2gb is ok...but from my experience, I've watched a few youtube videios, and I barely used up even half my 500mb data plan. So in my personal opinion...2gb of data would be a complete waste of money.

you can do lots with 1gb of data you can check up to 30 e-mails a day go in instagram, facebook, twitter ect. and still have extra data left. But some companys have ovrages so you have to pay if you go over your data limit, But Sprint and T-mobile don't so I would go to those companys.

During a typical week I receive at least 100 emails and this month only 340 MB has been used. I have sent approximately 15 emails during the month.

BlackBerry 10 smartphones do NOT compress data traffic.

1gb leaves you rationing your data, which is a pita so I'd suggest more for a smartphone.

Ultimately it depends on how you use the phone.

I've used over 2gb this month easily.
