i have an orangy notification icon that looks like a wifi signal fan type icon with the number one next to it. what does it mean and how do i get rid of it?
Can you take a screen shot of it and post it?
Based on your description it sounds like you have 1 Wi-Fi Hotspot available for you to connect to. You should be able to access it by clicking the bar below the time and selecting it on there.
On what device?
It is a WAP push message.
Open your Messages folder > Menu > View Folders, and examine the WAP push folder. It should be there, open, clear or delete it.
If not there, look in all other folders, like the Browser push messages (which is a blue icon), so yours is likely the WAP.
