DM will ask you for the device password before it does anything.

if a bb is locked, then it will ask for the lock code in desk top manager. if you do not have the unlock code, then the default number of tries before the device is wiped is 10 unsuccessfull attempts (unless changed by the owner of the device). at that point the bb device will wipe, and all personal info on the device will be lost.
