Hi, can I watch a. exe file in my BB10? It's a movie I downloaded straight from the web. Do I need some sort of player to recognize the file?

Errrr, if it's was a file you downloaded and was supposed to be a movie, it certainly shouldn't be a .EXE file.
While there are ways to package a video file into a .EXE, it is best to stay away from those.
That sounds more like it could be a trojan or virus.

.exe file normally means it's an actionable file, not sure how it can be a movie
Doubt it can be used on the device.

Not free and you don't need the paid one either. Stick to apps in BB World and you will be fine. The EXE you downloaded was probably written to work on Windows, it will have no effect on your BB.

So, .exe is an application file, for windows. If you thought you were downloading a movie, and it's a .exe file, you should probably delete it ASAP, and be glad that you didn't run it on your PC, because it's likely a virus or a malicious program (seeing how it was downloaded under the cover of being a movie). In the future, if you want to run .exe files, buy a PC.
