But, you shouldn't use your @carrier.blackberry.net account for direct emails. That is meant to have pop email accounts forward to it for instant delivery.
The reason behind this is because if that email gets on a spam list, there is no spam filter for it. So you would be getting spam emails delivered instantly to your BlackBerry.
Besides, you might as well just give out your regular email account as it is most likely shorter because there isn't a subdomain after the @ sign. If you are looking for instant push, you should look into a Gmail or Yahoo account.
