if they are not listed under Applications, they most likely aren't fully installed and are just Service Book icons showing up to offer you to download those
No you cannot. They are as cliff says pushed by your service
books. Delete them and they will eventually come back.
What I do is create a folder, move all the goofy icons into it and
then hide the whole folder. You will need to do this for every theme
you use, but since I really only use one it was not that big of a deal
