    HI guys,

here is the thing. As you all know os10 don't get you that 10mb travel abroad data for free so I am gonna to switch my Q10 back to 9900 for a week or so when I am abroad to keep in touch with people.

Setting up email is fine but my question is, is there anyway I can copy my whatsapp data from Q10 to 9900?

Only wish BB give 10mb data for BB10 phone. This is an idea for Mr.Chen, update the OS which and allow it to switch to BIS services when abroad and get the 10mb free daily, I am sure people will love it and could be a unique selling point for BB.

I'm not sure if OS7 support restoring the opened chat or not,
Because when ever you verify Whatsapp on BB10 you'll receive a message about chat saved from the previous device to choose if you want to restored the back-up or not

Chats may not restore depends it usually puts them on SD card so it's a 50-50 shot.

Does BlackBerry even give you 10mb of free data overseas? And if so, why lowball at 10mb? That's the amount of data I use in 5 minutes! Even with BIS it seems like nothing..

OP, don't you mean 100mb? It also seems like a carrier deal, nothing to do with BlackBerry themselves.

With BBOS you can stretch 10mb a lot if you just stick to communications, you can get days out of it.

It is 10mb per day and all you need is like me keep in touch over email, whatsapp and twitter, you will be fine. I never go over 10mb daily limit. If you use YouTube and interest it might not be enough.

So for me os7 BIS is the cheapest way to stay contact with people when abroad.

Unfortunately, you cannot move the message history between the BB7 and BB10 versions of our app. The files aren't compatible with each other.

Great feature of BIS that I wasn't aware of.... also explains why so many oversees customers who travel a lot, don't want to upgrade away from a BIS device.
