i got a blackberry bold 9650 and it came without a camera. however i place one inside but i am still not able to get it working so was wondering if there is a solution to such a problem...

Hello. And welcome. So you placed a camera inside the 9650.????
I would think you need to load an OS that has the cod files for the camera. Or at least find the cod files and load them so the phone knows it has a camera.

Huh? Did you read the OP? Its not BlackBerry problem lol he bought a older BlackBerry without the camera and supposedly he installed a camera piece inside his device. He would have voided his warranty pretty quick doing that lol

They probably didn't set all the circuitry from the camera. The agencies that insisted on a non-camera BlackBerry would insist that it be impossible to just drop one in and circumvent the security requirements.
