I've used bPod quite happily for a couple of years but this week, if I try to play any of my downloaded podcasts I get the error message "could not prepare file. -5". Does anyone have a cure please?

I have used bPod almost daily without a problem. Now I get the same "could not prepare file -5" error message. I tried deleting the app and reloading but it did not help.

I have the same problem - I wonder if it started with one of the bPod updates? can we go back to an older version?

The problem always existed but used to rarely happen, with recent releases the rate of occurrence went up. What the -5 code indicates is that the internal media player entered an invalid state, aka it when wonky. The current solution is to reboot your phone.
