IMO the Bold is the best one of the two, but for a true comparison goto blackberry.com and check them both out.

The only differences I can see between the two devices are as follows:

Bold has a slightly larger form factor than the Tour.

Tour has a slightly larger screen than the Bold

Bold has 1 GB onboard memory - Tour has none.

Bold has 128 MB flash memory - Tour has 256 MB

Bold has a 2.0 MP Camera - Tour has a 3.2 MP camera

I prefer typing on the Bold and I have a lot of typing to do - so the size of its keyboard suits me just fine.

Please be sure to go into a store and pick them both up and play around with them and see which one feels best in your hand.

Both of them are awesome - but I still prefer the Bold!

    Peace

    basically what he said ^^^

i have the tour, i would like the bold for the mere fact of wifi is on the Bold and not the Tour, and in certain places with no coverage, wifi can be very handy, at least for me.

Also, it will depend on your carrier, as I know here in So Cal, the ATT coverage isnt as good as the VZW coverage and thats why i have the Tour and not the Bold. But I would give a slight edge to the Bold, very slight edge. If the Tour had wifi, it would be the best BB hands down IMHO.

I have a Tour as well and assuming your 3G coverage is equal between them I would go with the Bold, it is the better device.

I have Tour and I would advice you to go for it. I think Tour is best suits for you.

Both are fairly similar in some areas, the bold has a slight advantage with having wifi. But wifi doesn't matter to me really, I believe the tour has a better screen, not sure tho. I would go with the Tour.

Of course, getting a Tour means switching carriers (if you want to keep 3G).

That's funny seeing the tour is pretty much better in ever aspect except not having wifi lol

You just have to balance out the pros and cons and what ever suits you.

    Bold

    - Faster processor (I could be wrong about this one)
    - Bigger keys, more typing space. I like the bigger keys since it's much easier to type with.
    - 1GB on board memory vs 0 for the Tour.
    - Bold has wifi, Tour does not.

    Tour

    - 256MB application memory vs Bold 128MB.
    - 3.2 Megapixel camera vs Bold 2.0 Megapixel.
    - Slightly better resolution then the Bold.

Other then cosmetic parts, there isn't that much of a difference between the 2. Both are great phones and it really depends on what carrier you're on and what you're willing to sacrifice. The Tour has a cool carbon fiber battery cover but the Bold has this leather thingy that is resistant to scratches.

Even people with the Tour are saying the Bold, I think that should be telling enough. Don't get me wrong the Tour is a great phone, but the Bold has the slight edge.

Really? Tour is the Nissan Sentra of BlackBerry while the Bold is the BMW M3.

    Need I say more?

Only difference you will feel is your wallet getting smaller with all the monthly fees you can come up with depending on your carrier.

Having had both devices, you really can't go wrong with either. The tour is a tad bit smaller and I'm adjusting to the keyboard but it's not that big of a deal.
If you want to get real technical the Tour supports up to a 32GB memory card and the Bold only a 16GB, so the Tour has the edge IMO.
WIFI is a deal breaker for some. I liked it when I had the Bold, I don't miss it with the Tour.
I think the Bold feels a bit more solid in the hand VS the Bold. The Tour still has the Curve feel to it.
What it really comes down to is carrier coverage in your area. For me ATT was not as reliable as VZW. I'm in a Sherwin Williams store and can't make a call with the Bold......not good. I was unable to make or receive calls in one of the buildings I work in......all my VZW using colleagues had great service.....I had to actually leave the building to make a call.
I can't have that kind of hit or miss functionality in my job.
But like I said, both devices are top notch so choose the network first, then you'll be set.
    Just my .02

Mostly true, BUT the Bold also has a better CPU.

Agreed! Bold 624mhz (and 1gb on board and wifi) vs Tour 528mhz. I wish Verizon released the Bold instead, but it's better than my 8330 (when the Tour wants to actually scroll left/right correctly).

The only thing the Tour really has is the screen (480x360 instead of 480x320) and memory (256mb). Get the Bold

I have a Bold... love it... but I've been tempted to switch to a Tour or an 8900? What am I gaining/giving up by making the switch? Thanks
