    Hello

Got rid of my Iphone and using a borrowed BB Pearl which I need to return next week.

Guys need some help , should I still wait for the 9700 or go with the 9000 for now?

Getting 9000 for 300-350 CAD , 9700 will be more taxing on the pocket !!

Will the price come down for a 9700 after the holiday season if its released in November ?

What do you recommend , what way should I go wait or 9000 ?

Get the 9000. It is a stellar device, although a bit larger than I prefer.

I'd usually say to go for the Bold but the 9700 release is imminent. If you can
upgrade you're probably going to pay the same amount with an upgrade.

Thanks for the valuable suggestion . Well Robbers wont let me upgrade unless there is a promotion going on as I got an Iphone last year.

So it boils down to ~700 for the new BB device , a difference of 400 bucks.
As I can see you are a Bold user , hows the trackpad functionality / failure rate on the device other than the big size ?
It has a larger screen which I would certainly like !

I am just wondering if size would be the real selling point for 9700 over a Bold ..

Okay well if you're not eligible to upgrade then yeah, the Bold is the better
choice if you could find it at the price you're looking for.

The functionality of my Bold has been just fine. Going to be a year this
    November since I've had it.

If you're set on a 3G device, and you have the cash, then you gotta take the 9700.
The sexy body, and awesome camera of the 8900. The 3G and WiFi from the Bold 9000, and the CPU and battery power of the Tour. You'd have to be nuts to pass on that.

Also, I'd bet Rogers will have a promotion soon. With Bellus launching their HSPA network imminently, Rogers is going to be BIG on retention...

I agree to your point , thats what holding me off from a Bold.

Actually there are no confirmed dates on the device .. the wait is killing me ..

Yeah. I couldn't stand my 8310 anymore so I bought a used 8900 while I was waiting for the 9700. But now I may wait for the Dakota instead... I'm in no rush as the 8900 is awesome, except for the lack of 3G
