Well if you were on the 9930 that must mean your CDMA such as myself. The 9930 is only 3G and requiring no SIM card and the way those were activated on Verizon at least was *228. With LTE phones such as the Q10, you can just swap SIM cards between them.
You can't just swap SIM cards in this case. You can do *228 (assuming you're on Verizon. If not then everything I'm saying might not apply) to activate the 9930 after the Q10 but then that SIM card in the Q10 will be unusable.
