Since everyone over at Android is crazy about the new blur feature on the Android's camera, shouldn't this blur feature also included in the next BlackBerry 10.3 official release? Hopefully....

Just shake the camera while taking a photo......problem solved, but hey don't ruin it for those that rely heavily on apps for the simplest of tasks.

Have a look through the 3rd party photo editors. Some may offer the ability to de-focus parts of the picture. I agree though, it would be nice if they offered a 1st party solution to do so. Shouldn't be too hard, as BlackBerry 10 already has filters built into its native photo editor.

I don't think the OP is referring motion blur. He's talking about the effect of focusing only on a particular subject and de-focusing or blurring the rest. It's easily done with a DSLR where you can control depth of field, but not as easy to do with a smartphone.

Most photo editors offer this functionality, usually it is called Tilt-shift. In Effetica it is in blur tool, just select elliptical area.
