Hi, maybe I am in the wrong forum area, but I will ask anyways.

I read so many articles that BlackBerry is still issued in the Government sector.
Can someone please provide me statistics on approx. how many BlackBerry devices are in use currently by the US Government/DoD compared to other platforms like Android and iOS?

Things are suppose to be changing around that the DoD plans to have a more "spread out" platforms that will include Android and iOS.

Can someone please provide the statistics on how many BlackBerrys are used by DoD and other Government branches? Is there a comparison chart or something like that?

    Thanks

    I googled it for you.

Apart from a few thousands iPhones, US Military is using mainly BlackBerry handsets, a few thousands Androids were expected to come this year (still a very small portion).

    This year:

    Last year:

    http://www.theguardian.com/technolog...msung-pentagon

Quote "Presently the Pentagon has more than 600,000 mobile devices being used on its networks, including 470,000 BlackBerry handsets, 41,000 iPhones and iPads, and 8,700 Android-based smartphones. Many of the latter have been used principally for testing, and do not connect to its military networks."

BlackBerry in the US military and government are non existent. I work in government and military contracting. Nobody uses BlackBerry anymore. Some do, but very, very few.
