Interesting design. I would be very curious to see how that felt in the hands while typing with the screen flipped horizontally.

I tried to rotate this concept, but as you can see it would end up much higher. Unless it rolls up and down once it's rotated. Nice idea though.

BlackBerry was never colorful phone.
Maybe it will do well in limited production.
I say keep BlackBerry color as its always been.
It's not practical to keep the tool belt on the slider. We got to use it even with slider closed.
Recently Samsung Galaxy 5 Android has added fingerprint scanner security feature. Next generation trackpad should also have some kind security feature that's so easy and practical. BlackBerry must keep up.
We all know by now android security is a gimmick. With phones getting smarter and all your info on your phone, Nobody would willingly bent over and get */$:$ by Hackers. And others like Boeing security phone. They are trying to take BlackBerry Market in security. Just read what slipped out of Google Android CEO:
Google Android chief Sundar Pichai says Android not designed to be safe

I wonder where that idea came from? Even the same model number?

Hmm, never seen that before, guess great minds think alike... Thanks for posting.
i like the slider idea. I guess the issue is can you do it affordably? It looks a million times better then those huge screen keyboard attempts. Obviously the candy bar style is a no go. I think this makes more sense. Would love to see it if they can make the keyboard up to the blackberry standard. I think if we see enough of these one is going to hit a chord. Nice job anyway a little bit more inventive then most of the mockups i have seen. Some actual imagination went into this one not just slapping a keyboard on a z30 screen which by the way looks ridiculous. It might work okay but the styling is by no means ideal. Now its just a matter of how the slider is positioned and what the dimensions and thickness of the phone would have to be to get this to work properly.
I hear that!

Like this concept my last phone was a slider and I found it easy to use.

A Z30 based slider? With beefed up components?

I shall see what I can do
D_Gui, I like it.
Have you considered just rotating the screen? I know that it would make an asymmetrical look and it may be off balance without forethought, but it would be a robust unit. All of the sliding mechanisms would be replace by a simple(?) hinge. Opening & closing the screen would reveal & cover the keys.
BTW, I love your colour choice.

Its funny because people here make fun of Apple for making taller phones - this would be their troll-idea of iPhone 10..! ;)
w/o trackpad it would be great
Apple wasn't made fun of just for making taller phones. They were made of for making taller phones a major feature, "never before seen " type of phone.

I love this concept. This is exactly what I want NOW :) great job!

Dammit! I like it,
..but my next phone purchase will be a 5" screen! I mean, I like my Z10,...but I'm yearning for a bigger screen.
Hmm, can anyone imagine a "Z30 Jackknife" concept such as this.

Anyone know how much it might cost to get some of these printed 3D? Or what information would be required to do so?
Tim Smith from my Z10 on Rogers
You'll need a scaled 3D render to print one as for how much, not so sure as it depends on the country.
