can someone over the pond today plz approach rim
and ask for an honest answer for the masses of new
loyal customers that they have that have purchased
either or both bb9800 or bb9780 both less than 6 months old
are we yes or no at end of life as no further os planned
for above models or are we getting a 6.1 lite 0r 7 lite
as in these forums lots of people are anxiously awaiting
an answer

Best thing I could tell you is to just wait for the new line of phones or suck it up if you don't get the updates. The only thing you're promised when you buy a phone is that it will work when you leave the store and no future upgrades are a guarantee. No one knows which phones will get what upgrades besides RIM developers.
