Yeah I hope it will come before the end of the year, second half for the q20 let's hope it'll be the first half of the second half of the year lol I lost myself. Q3 for the q20 with an announcement of the q30 for the q4 could be good for me.

I thought, are you sure about the 5''? I'm afraid it's a bit too big no? I would like to know the dimensions of the phone with this kind of screen plus the keyboard.

Yeah I have measured what it can represent and 5" is definitely too much for me. A 4" square screen (or maximum 4.5") would be better, but it's only my point of view.

That 1:1 ratio sucks tho... gonna be really too wide to navigate with one thumb.. you probably won't even be able to reach the left half of the keyboard one handed..

OK so a classical Q20 with a 3.5 landscape screen could be good for me. In fact the best would be a slider. In fact the most I look the others phone the most I love my q10. I don't want a too big phone, actual products are too big for me and I need a physical keyboard. I just miss a bigger screen when I want to see a video or a photo. I like the forme of this windermere but I want it stay with a decent size. A square Q10 would be great for me.

Oh yes. Oh definitely yes. Even at 1:1 that's a pretty good amount of real estate to consume media. 1440x1440 is lots of pixels too. Curious to see what else comes out regarding this product. Have convinced myself that a note 3 is of acceptable size - i am willing to give this potential handset the same acceptance.

I'd buy it if it has the Q10 keyboard (better if even a tad larger!)
What are the exact dimensions ?

So this phone would be bigger than the LG optimus g. I don't know I'm sceptical about this size. I will ask to my tailor if he can enlarge my pockets enough.

    OP says it's 5" square

5"x5"? Even the Galaxy Mega is only 3.5" across, so I'm not sure where 5" came from. Or if he meant 5 in2 for whatever reason, then the actual screen diagonal is 3.1-3.2".

If this is supposed to be part of the Q20 (3.5" screen), then it should be around 2.5" across plus bezel. So this must be for something else.

    Personally I understood it's a 5" screen so if it's a square approximately 3,5 by 3,5

So around 0.7" wider than the Z30, then.

Yes I think it's too big. A 4 or 4.5" square screen would be sufficient.

That hard drive is 2.75 inches wide and the LG Optimus G is about the same width. Just by eyeballing the screen in comparison to the HDD and the phone I would guess it is 3.5 inches wide. Given that the formula to figure out the diagonal of a rectangle is p = q = √(a2 + b2) we can input 3.5 for a and b to get a p = q = 4.94975 inch diagonal screen. For comparison the phone would be the same width as the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 but a full inch shorter.

That's what we are saying since the beginning. I don't know, people love big phones with big screens, but I think a qwerty phone is a tool not a toy, if we need something so big why not buy a tablet. Think about the old bold they were small but convenient. The Q10 is bigger, maybe we can get something bigger but too big is not convenient, I need a phone which can rest discret. We saw too many people who have always their phone in hand, and why? Only because they can't put it in their pocket. It's ridiculous. If my phone is a tool I want it's here when I need it but not when I don't want.
We'll see what BBRY will do but if they only want to play with Samsung with a run to the numbers they will loose. We, BBRY users have nothing to prove with our phones, we just need phones wich allow us to do what we want and not ones which say us what we want.

I'm inclined to think that'll be a 4 inch screen. 5 inches would be overkill...

I'm probably not correct on how I'm drawing this, but if it is, 5 inches is too big... 4 hits the sweet spot before it hits pure stupidity...

You're right. 5" is good for phone without keyboard or for a slider one.
