While this remains a 'rumor' for now, I'm pretty confident on it. Seems starting July 15th, BlackBerry will be starting a promo for US customers who have not already updated to a BlackBerry 10 device wherein if you purchase a new device, you'll be eligible for a $60 Visa card. Essentially, dropping your purchase price by $60 and not unlike the offers in other regions such as India. If that happens, should help get some customers off BB7.

Interesting. Is the card good with a purchase from anywhere that's a new purchase?

Best Buy here in the States started offering the Z10 for $49.00 this week on 2 year contract. Wow if this pricing continues into the promo you would get the phone and $11.00 in your pocket for your trouble. Might be hard to say no to that.

Would this be a precursor to Visa NFC payments?

Now there that is what I want to know. As far as upgrading, for me, when Verizon pushes 10.2 I'll consider upgrading up.

Just read the requirements... it's valid in all 50 States, except Florida. Never seen Florida left out of something like this before.

Nice to seem BB doing something to "promote" devices!

Casey Anthony, George Zimmerman, No Visa Pre-Paid Card for BlackBerry 10 upgrades... really horrible things happening in that state.
