Interesting post, but the human psyche is much more complex than this. Although the choice of cellphone may reflect personality types, more scientific studies are needed.

Well, I wouldn't say that they're needed. It's an issue of very miniscule importance. Surely there are more important things to conduct studies on?

If only you got a nickel for every smile you could work even less... Well, cheers for donating your time to corral us cats and all our nonsense on the forums. Not sucking up, just appreciating the work, I tip my hat. I couldn't do it.

Thank you very much, and I know all of the mods/ambassadors/MN staff really appreciate thanks when they are given.

That being said, the above story is another in a long line of "studies" that publish this type of information. It really doesnt mean much of anything lol

It's a thankless job, but somebody's gotta do it.

I agree completely on bogus studies in media (as someone who works in that field). It's so broad strokes... It reminds me of the weekly health articles we're subjected to. Is Chocolate / Wine / Coffee / Dairy / Etc good for you or bad for you? They seem to change the answer every other week.

Latest one I read that made me chuckle is that coffee drinkers are less likely to commit suicide:

Two cups of coffee may lower suicide risk by almost half - CBS News

    Seriously?

I think Woody Allen was right: Sleeper (1973) - IMDb

last study i saw or i think it was a whole generalisation said bb users were likely well travelled. it is interesting to see how times change, study doesnt prove much but you can always see the resemblance

I believe blackberry users earn more as most users are professionals
and or business owners. As for more friends that is harder to prove.
I would dispute that given what I normally read here, and how it is written.

I actually find it pretty accurate description (as far as stereotyping goes)...

Me too. How do you feel about the descriptions of Android and Apple users?

I quit drinking, coincidentally, I switched to BlackBerry.

But wait! While I owned an iPhone, I grossed $285K that year!

Hmm, logic sounds flawed to me.

Double wait! Since I switched to BlackBerry, I haven't since hung out with any friends....

I guess Android users are so calm because they figure a security breach may happen at any time, with their phone and they'll save the panicking for later.

Or they are more tech saavy and don't freak out over little things.
