Not sure if this has been posted before but this review by Pocketnow ( ) perfectly sums up the legacy of BlackBerry. I personally started using BlackBerry with the Storm, after which I upgraded to Bold 9780 after a few months with iPhone 3G. Got instantly hooked with the keyboard and hasn't look backed since. Currently a prowd owner of the Q10. I hope BlackBerry lives because there is nothing quite like it

Jeez that makes me feel old. I'm 40 and the 9780 wasn't even close to the first BB I used.

The 9810 was the first I bought and actually really wanted.
Everything before it, was something I considered to be technically inferior. Especially compared to Nokia for non-touchscreen phones and to Androids/iPhones for touchscreens.

    I guess I joined late.
The first BlackBerry I used though... No idea on the number, it was years before I bought the 9810 though.

And don't feel old, 40 is the new 20.

My first, and I loved it and still do, the side scroll wheel was fantastic and the phone was a tank.

I know there are lots of guys in here that used models even before that, but the 8700 was my very first.

I started with a company issued 957, email and very basic web only, no phone in that thing. Having immediate access to email from anywhere was always great.
