The device features a 5 MP camera with auto focusing sensor and LED flash, while connectivity options include Wi-Fi, A-GPS and CDMA 3G at 3.1 Mbps.
The BlackBerry Style will be offered through Reliance Communications and Tata Indicom, the CDMA arm of Tata Teleservices. The manufacturer has decided to remain silent regarding the price of the handset until its launch in the country.
This is not the first Blackberry handset from RIM to hit the Indian markets. RIM India has the history of successful launches of its devices such as BlackBerry Pearl, Curve as well as the Storm.
The Indian smartphone market is expected to grow at the rate of 110 per cent in the next three-years. This is much faster as compared to the global growth rate of 40 per cent. Little wonder why the mobile phone giant is concentrating more on the Indian markets.01-20-11 08:59 AMLike 0
