Does anyone know how to get to verizons backup assistant in the storm main menu i cant figure it out. im trying to get to get it now

I just checked vz web site. Backup assistant is not supported on the Storm. In fact it doesn't work on any smartphone.

aren't your contacts stored on your desktop? there should be a way to transfer contacts to your phone

You can make a backup with desktop manager or sync them if you use Outlook or another mail program. Personally I use google sync and sync my contacts with my gmail account.
