Went and had a look at the store that just opened up here. all in all quite a cool place. unfortunately still lacking in the accesories department, had also some dusty playbook boxes on display as well. they had 3 or 4 people working there and after half an hour I still didnt manage to get any service. played around a bit with the Q5 (didnt see any pink ones on display) and left.

Ahh, thought they mentioned a pink one. I guess if you leave the Red one our in the sun long enough the plastic will turn pink

I know what you mean about the service, I had to wait 20 min and the funny thing is that 04 staff were attending just one guy as he was buying a bulk load of Q5's.

It wasn't rocket science that the guy was exporting the devices LOL, but due to him the cashier was stuck invoicing for 20 min. Luckily I finally got served and walked out with a Q5, had to do it so now all 3 are with me.

By the way, today is the last day to grab a Q5 if anyone is out in Dubai Mall. As from tomorrow onwards you will need to pre order one.

For stores like this to be successful for BlackBerry they need to showcase features like hdmi connection. Have a Z10 connected to a massive TV and let people know you can sit on a couch and have your phone on the TV. Have a music area with the music gateway to let people choose music on the phone and they can see how it can play wirelessly!! so many good things probably not shown. Also the BlackBerry Link of sharing files from computer to phone!

That's how the retail will be successful!

They had a led TV next to the display of blackberrys with an mini (or micro whatever). Hdmi where one could connect a BlackBerry to Try it out. In retrospect u think they should have had a z10 or q 10 already hooked up on it...

A pink one might sway my wife to have a blackberry instead of iPhone. Problem is that she uses Al sort of apps that we don't have yet (not instagram or viber, more like paparazzi news programs lol)
