I had a 583 back in the day....

    But, that's an off topic.

I have to say, I'm excited to see this. For me, it confirms that BlackBerry is serious about moving forward with Android and Priv is the device to lead that initiative. I was considering a Z30, but I think BlackBerry is going to work diligently to develop Android in a way that will be unique and create value to users. I'm excited to see future updates to this device and platform.

This was a good move by BlackBerry. Perhaps the best marketing they've ever done. I for one have only ever streamed the debates this year and was truly shocked to see all of the BlackBerry plugs. Hopefully it results in some moved devices.

Agree. I don't know much about Android, but my feeling is that if BlackBerry can make enough money to continue to invest in this platform, they will try to make it function as close to bb10 as possible through the use of their proprietary software and "skinning" capabilities inside the Android OS.

Listened via Satellite Radio and every single break had a Priv commercial/sponsor segment! Finally...some US advertising. And it probably didn't cost them a fortune.

Too bad it's on the Repugnican Bozo debates. I hope it's not an indication of their political proclivities.

No, it's just that BB and ABC have an ad deal.

BlackBerry has their handset division already in a noose and they're just itching to open the trap door. Not sure why they'd spend money on advertising the Priv of all devices at the debates...

They ran this same style ad for the Dem debate before too. I watch the GOP debates because they're so bad they're good... like a train wreck I just can't look away from. The one before this wasn't as entertaining because the ringleader of the Republican circus, Donald J. Trump, threw a tantrum because he didn't like how Megyn Kelly treated him, and held his own little sideshow.

Donald Trump does tweet from an Android, so I'm guessing he'd label any other phone type a "total loser."

If Chen can barely operate the phone what hope would there be for Donald. Besides, I think the phone is made in Mexico.

eh its not as big as you would think. 12-15 million for TV viewing maybe 1/10 of that for streaming.
