I'm am in the Aerospace and Defense industry and attending the NBAA in Orlando. This session on mobile device management had a huge turn out from the biggest players in the industry. Air framers, air lines and avionics providers. Security and end to end encryption were key notes. Sounds like BlackBerry needs to speak with people at this event or vice versa.

I'm sure if they care about end to end then they know who to go to. If they don't then i don't think they really know what is it that they are trying to achieve!!
If the dod and other governments are using it so I think it is well known. Marketing is in their face

The idea is to create a paperless cockpit, utilizing mobile devices to transmit data and checklists back to the tower etc.

The other part is about the proliferation of mobile device use in the cabin. WiFi, phone calls, stream Netflix or in aircraft entertainment systems. The biggest topic was how do you secure this??

Next year may just be to late...even this year, just read today that USG including DOD has approved some Android devices for secure work. I do not have the link right now but it was on one of my USG news sites.
