So I unlocked my BlackBerry z10 so I can travel to las vegas and use the roam mobility sim card. I advised my friends to do the same, but instead they ended up using the roam mobility phone. I saw the back of the phone and I noticed that the phone had 2 sim card slots. I used my bell micro sim card and the roam mobility micro sim card. The phone was able to receive calls for both sims.

Now im thinking that this could be a long shot, for BlackBerry to start making phones with this feature. But think about it. Bb10 already has a method to switch from personal and business sides (BlackBerry Balance) I know a lot of co-workers who carry 2 phones (usually a blackberry for work and android or iPhone for personal use), would easily drop their phones and have 1 phone with 2 different number for both business and personal accounts. Just imagine being able to combine work emails and apps and cell number and then combining personal apps and email etc all with in one phone.

I am attaching a photo of the 2 sim card slots

It's a niche feature that would likely cost a fair bit extra in hardware expenses. I don't see them doing this, with the exception of maybe certain markets like China, where dual-SIM is very popular.

I guess it would only attract business people. Bit nevertheless, it's cool

I'd go for a Z10 with dual sim slots in a heartbeat. I really dislike carrying 2 devices.

As someone said, it's a niche market (although apparently a large one, since it's popular in India, and China.) In the US, and I'd venture to say most of Europe, the reason for a second line would be work. BlackBerry balance can manage that end, if deployed, and consolidate the two handsets.

I'd like one. One for a local sim and one for my hometown sim.
