BlackBerry Service - How much are you paying?
- anon(153966)DistinguishedWell, as the subject asks, how much are you paying? My company pays for mine, and it's about $49.99 a month. And, everything, except text messages (300 allowed a month) is unlimited...
But, am thinking about getting a service with Cingular (since I have Cingular, personal, and T-Mobile for work). Just in case one day I leave my company, at least I'd have mine setup and running already...03-02-07 09:53 PMLike 0 - Well, as the subject asks, how much are you paying? You mean in addition to the cost of the voiceplan, not including a voice plan, right?. The data plan for $19 apparently excludes corporate email. Extra for that. The voice plans cost about the same as cingular for comparable plans. And on Tmob you pay extra for unlimited mob to mob. And you pay extra for text. So all in all, the total cost is about the same as Cingular, plus or minus, depending on what you need.
Your locaton may determine what the better deal is. In my area (MD/DC/VA), cingular is your better choice as far as coverage goes, by a long shot.03-03-07 12:04 AMLike 0 - anon(153966)DistinguishedI wish Cingular had better coverage! I have a Cingular account, but for love or money, I can't get a signal in my house. So, since I have my work Blackberry, I just divert my Cingular calls to it - Thank God for that...
Coming to think of it, maybe my BlackBerry data service and voice with T-Mobile is more than $49.99. I must check the company account again. But, am also sure they have it as a bulk bill. We have 20 lines with T-Mobile...03-03-07 12:20 AMLike 0 - I wish Cingular had better coverage! I have a Cingular account, but for love or money, I can't get a signal in my house. - To be honest, I don't even know how much I pay. I have the max minutes that VZW has on my BB, Unlimited Data, 1000 SMS messages and then my wife's phone that has 400 minutes, 1000 SMS plan. It just pulls out of my checking account each month and I really don't pay much attention to it. I just keep counting the days until I can upgrade my phone.03-05-07 08:25 AMLike 0
- I've had cingular for as long as they've been around (in Houston, post Houston Cellular). I've never had a problem with coverage, dropped calls or service. Works great for me.
I pay 39.00 for voice (450/5000+rollover), 29.99 for data (unlimited) and 4.99 for 200 text messages. Seems reasonable to me.
I would definitely recommend Cingular to anyone in the Houston area.03-05-07 08:37 AMLike 0 - anon(153966)DistinguishedMy plan has 300 for text messages, and yes, it's for incoming and outgoing...
Data, for me, is unlimited. Calls, well, with that we have a company wide plan of 20,000 minutes! That's for 20 lines, but only 15 in use at present...
Can you believe we sometimes go over that amount? Oh, that too is for incoming and outgoing...(T-Mobile)

Back to the original question. I pay about 49.99 (give or take 20 through overages and the occational app download) and thats 300 minuets and the above mentioned texts. Internet sadly deducts from thoes minuets since i dont pay for the VZW Internet service.03-05-07 10:57 AMLike 0 - anon(153966)DistinguishedWell, I've signed up to get the scores once Arsenal has a game. I remember when I first got here, I signed up for everthing not realizing that I was paying for incoming and outgoing...
I have to pay for both incomming and outgoing, so I get 1000 texts allowed a month. I still dont have an actual BB but I have been able to type up to 20 wpm on my MotoRazr. Plus, in the form of texties I get bruins scores, red sox scores, and even text messages when my server at work decides to crash. (Guess which one sends the most texts)
