Not really sure if this is good or not.... KNOX is targeted at the same little niche that BlackBerry is going after. Seems just another step in weaning BlackBerry from hardware sales and focusing on Services. Which might be great for BBRY shareholders, but not so great for fans of the hardware.

Like that both are going to be offering support to each other in various forms as per the press release. Bravo to both for recognizing each others strengths.

So there is the answer. Blackberry will only make keyboard phones. Full touch is gone.

Wouldn't blame them, tepid is the best possible outcome of a full touch launch outside of the Middle East and Indonesia.

Blackberry is now calling KNOX + BES12 is an end to end solution for security. How is that message confusing that Blackberry is the only company that has end to end security with BB10 phones + BES12. It is a confusing position.

Directly from the BlackBerry blog, with commentary by John Sims (President of BlackBerry Enterprise Services): BlackBerry Blog. I'm curious what this actually means. Hasn't Knox development been taken over by Google? Why hasn't BlackBerry announced a partnership with Google around this then? And what does this mean for other EMM providers like Good, Airwatch and MobileIron - all of which provide their own containerization on Android?

Some of Knox features have moved to Android like containerisation but most of what makes Knox appealing on the Android platform is still Samsung. It will be interesting in the meshing of Knox and BES12 what each does.

I think the answer would be: Android and KNOX wasn't really secure enough. Now it is secure enough, because BlackBerry is involved.
