Article today on CBC news about Canadian government purchase of iPhones. Some employees were still on non Android BB devices . Appears no orders for the KEYone or Motion.

Large majority of devices are on Samsung.

A couple of takeaways. iPhone is probably losing sales to Samsung because they need a larger screen device to replace the iPhone 8. Perhaps government sales could have been made if BlackBerry and not TCL made the phones.

As of last summer, the only Android devices approved for use by the Canadian government were Samsung devices.

This was a result of a review done about 2 years ago.

Apparently BlackBerry Android is in the works, but the wheels of government are pretty slow.

That is unfortunate. Both the Motion and KEYone would make excellent Enterprise fleet phones. I think the unpredictability of the future of BlackBerry phones does not help sales in the Enterprise sector.

BBMo isn't ready. They don't even have a certified device yet. That's the reason for all the S7's.

Doesn't hold true in enterprise PC/Laptop space. Lenovo (IBM Thinkpad) is second to Dell by a slim margin despite being chinese owned. The chinese get their hands on anything they want, either by mobile or desktop. You cannot avoid that.
